Safer Sex Campaign 2005 Launching Ceremony
The Department of Health (DH) organised Safer Sex Campaign 2005 with the support of the Information Services Department to promote the practice of safer sex and to remove the taboo on condom in the community. The campaign, which targets at sexually active adult population, will run from September through December 2005, which covers the World AIDS Day on 1 December 2005. The campaign, with tagline "Use a condom for safer sex", consists of three core elements, namely media publicity, condom distribution network and sex education workshop.
A launching ceremony will be held at 15:00 on 4 September 2005 at Open Piazza, Olympian City Phase II. Miss Ho Shuk-yee, Susie, JP, Deputy Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food (Health), Dr. Leung Pak-yin, JP, Controller of Centre for Health Protection, DH, Dr. Hon. Kwok Ka-kei, Legislative Councillor and Mr. Philip Chow, Head of Chinese Programme Service, RTHK will officiate the ceremony. The function also serves a premiere of a new Announcement of Public Interests (API) on safer sex.
