Open lecture: "HIV/AIDS Response Indicator Development"
Organised by the Special Preventive Programme,
Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health, the captioned
lecture will be held on 29 March 2011 (Tuesday) 09:45-17:30 at Lecture
Hall, 3/F Lam Tin Polyclinic . The speaker for the lecture is Dr.
Tim BROWN, Senior Fellow, Population and Health Studies
at the East-West Center, Honolulu, Hawaii.
The lecture aims :1) to equip HIV prevention workers with the necessary
knowledge and skills in identifying, developing and evaluating indicators
to improve the Hong Kong response and 2) to develop indicator definitions
and prepare a set of indicators for programmes targeting respectively
men having sex with men (MSM), sex workers (SW) & clients, and
injecting drug users (IDU)
Individuals experienced or interested in HIV epidemiology or HIV
prevention programme planning, public health and infectious disease
professionals and trainees are invited to join. Deadline for registration
is 22 March 2011.
