World AIDS Day Activities
Red Ribbon Centre will organise a series of activities for World AIDS Day 2009:
- Red Ribbon Centre Open Day
Red Ribbon Centre is an AIDS education, resource and research centre established by AIDS Unit, Department of Health. The mission of the Red Ribbon Centre is to facilitate and enhance the community's response to HIV/AIDS.
- Cast by UNAIDS National Goodwill Ambassador
for Hong Kong ,China, Miss Miriam Yeung Chin-wah, Red Ribbon Centre
produced an Announcement of Public Interest (API) featured "Travel
Smart, Play Safe". The API will be launched on World AIDS
Day (1st December) through TV and Radio in Hong Kong. A Putonghua
version will be introduced in a gala show "防艾少年行" in
Shenzhen on 29 November. The gala show is co-organised with Shenzhen
Working Committee for AIDS Prevention and Control and Shenzhen
Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
- Red Ribbon Centre is collaborating with the Commercial Radio to launch a comprehensive series of AIDS-related programmes –"Let get tourched" in different radio programme from October 2009 to February 2010. The programmes accommodated wide range of areas including knowledge sharing on AIDS, thematic interviews and radio dramas. - Disseminated information related to HIV to the
public through broadcasting in television programme "Off
Pedder" during family viewing time on Jade Channel of TVB.
