HIV/AIDS in the Pearl River Delta Region
The Pearl River Delta Region is composed of parts of Guangdong province and the adjoining Hong Kong and Macao SAR. The Region is featured by a high volume of passenger traffic, a common cultural background, and dynamic economic development. Public health professionals of twelve cities in the Pearl River Delta Region are regularly exchanging information and opinion in the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS. The collaboration has been made possible through the efforts of AIDS Unit, Centre of Infection of The University of Hong Kong, Macao Health Department, and PRDR HIV/AIDS Research Group of Guangdong Province.
